Steve has worked in Probation since 1986 in London, Vancouver and Thames Valley and has been a Probation manager since 2000.
At the time of writing (May 2006) he is about to take up the role as an Assistant Director for Thames Valley Probation. His responsibilities will include housing, hostels and substance misuse interventions as well as contributing to the smooth development of NOMS (National Offender Management Service) in Thames Valley.
Steve has developed a training brief and has led internal training on new initiatives as well as external training and briefings, including regular sessions for sentencers. In January 2006 he provided risk management training for prison and probation staff in the Czech Republic.
He has completed a secondment to the National Probation Service contributing to the implementation of a national IT and business tool for Prison and Probation.
Steve trained for OCTS between September 2005 and October 2009.
