Course Content

This one day course will provide participants with the opportunity to:

  • Explore the basic experience of loss, attachment and the fear of bereavement
  • Explore the concept of ‘normal’ and ‘complicated’ grief
  • Consider what theoretical models have to offer clinical practice
  • Consider good practice in supporting somebody who is going through loss

The course will include both an element of direct teaching and group discussions. Participants will be expected to draw on their own experience of working with grief.

Those who have recently suffered bereavement are advised against attending this course.
