Introduction to Key Working and Support Planning

Date

Monday 14 June 2010

Course Tutor

LISE JAMIESON - Team Manager, Connection Floating Support

RACHEL BELLENGER - Community Case Support Worker, Connection Floating Support

Course Content

This course will offer participants the opportunity to consider a number of approaches to both Key Working and Care Planning. Both activities take place in many agencies working with people over a period of time, and the approach used at Connection will be put forward as a model for participants to consider.

There will be plenty of opportunity to share practise from participants’ own agencies. In particular, the following issues will be looked at:

  • Key Working: The Connection Model
  • The Support Plan
  • Client Participation, to include issues around boundaries
  • Use of Peer Support and supervision
  • External agency contact and relevant others in the support process
