Course Content

 

This course will provide participants with the opportunity to :

  • explore different examples of challenging behaviour which they meet in their workplace
  • explore differences between various situations i.e. housing, day centres and individual work
  • develop confidence and good practice in responding to challenging behaviour
  • explore how to provide a safe and supportive environment for the service users and workers
  • consider some of the causes of challenging behaviour

Participants are asked to prepare an example of a situation of the challenging behaviour in which they have been involved and bring to the training day.
